Northbrook Park is the perfect Surrey wedding venue and I’m fortunate that a great many couples have asked me to photograph their weddings at this stunning and historic grade ll listed 18th Century manor house.

As a result I know it really well, all the best spots for photographs including a few around the 120 acre estate that are tucked away so your photographs don’t look like everyone else’s.

The grounds are really the star of the show at Northbrook. Manicured lawns, lakes and water features surround a beautiful walled garden for reception drinks and of course all watched over by the resident peacocks.

The venue offers stunning event rooms, notably the classically elegant Vine Room and the Orangery overlooking the walled garden. Crucially Northbrook Park also offers onsite accommodation with ten beautifully appointed Mews Houses which may be booked exclusively or on a room-by-room basis.

“We adore this photograph because it captures the light whimsically and the flattering emotions upon our faces which single-handedly captures how we felt that day.”

Noreen & Jack

“We loved having Nick as our photographer simply because his photography style is simple and uncomplicated. Weddings are full of planned, unplanned, emotional and intimate moments which should be reflected in a wedding album. Nick did just that – providing us with an album we will always look back on where the photographs remain timeless.”

“Northbrook Park was the first venue we visited and both fell in love with straight away.  Entering the Vine Room was like walking in to heaven, the walled gardens created little pockets of natural beauty whilst the Orangery was perfect to host our large party of guests and dance the night away.

Getting married is a very exciting and emotional occasion.  Walking arm-in-arm with my Dad, in my stunning dress, to the sound of our singer’s incredible voice, the smell of roses from my gorgeous bouquet and seeing Andy looking extremely handsome in his wedding suit waiting for me at the end of the aisle was an incredible feeling.

Our wedding day was truly magical, everything came together perfectly and we couldn’t have wished for more.  Now begins the exciting journey of the rest of our lives together.

A huge thank you to Nick for capturing lots of wonderful moment for us to treasure. I don’t think we could have found a better Northbrook Park wedding photographer – he’s definitely your go-to Northbrook Park expert!”

“We stumbled across Northbrook Park and knew almost immediately it was the venue for us.”

Abi & Jack

“We stumbled across Northbrook Park and knew almost immediately it was the venue for us. The ivy-clad house, the lake and woods surrounding the beautifully kept grounds and the resident peacocks appealed to our love of nature, and fit our loose theme of the natural world, with its blues and greens, flora and fauna. The light and spacious Orangery and Vine Room, opening into the walled gardens would allow our guests to wander outside without feeling like they were leaving the party. The on-site accommodation meant people didn’t need to rely on taxis at the end of the night.

It was important to us that getting to and from our wedding wasn’t a chore for our guests, so the location, close to Farnham and within easy reach of motorways and public transport, was ideal. A number of good local hotels meant we could offer plenty of options to those who weren’t staying on site, with at least a couple of them having room booking arrangements with the venue.

Most importantly, we loved the fact that the whole team at Northbrook Park were so accommodating and keen to let us plan our day the way we imagined it. When we said “can we…” the answer was always yes, which made our lives immeasurably easier when so much needed to be arranged.

We held the wedding ceremony in the Vine Room, decorated only with flowers, as the space is already so beautiful and the big windows allowed sunlight to flood in. Afterwards there was lots of space inside and out for people to mingle; because the gardens are walled, it was easy to find people for photographs and keep track of children!

The wedding breakfast was served in the Orangery, we love the exposed brickwork, climbing plants covering an entire wall and floor-to-ceiling windows opening into the gardens. The space is beautiful and, like the Vine Room, needed only flowers. Afterwards, the room was easily transformed into a dance floor for the rest of the evening.”

“Our advice to anyone looking to book Northbrook Park is that you will not regret it!”

Noreen & Jack

“Jack and I adored Northbrook Park from the very first day we visited for a viewing. We had looked at various other locations in and around London, but nothing quite acquired the charm of Northbrook Park. The venue is quaint and tranquil, and the beautiful manor house covered in foliage gives the perfect backdrop for Spring/Summer wedding photographs.

We hosted drinks in the Vine room which is a simple yet elegant room that lets in wonderful natural light through the fanned Georgian windows. This would also make a lovely alternative to churches for a light and airy wedding ceremony.

We used the Orangery to host our wedding breakfast with our loved ones. The brick walls, trailing vines and billowing white roof drapes provided a quintessential English outdoors yet calm feeling to the area we spent most part of our day. The walled gardens with wandering peacocks provided ample outdoor space for games and overspill from the Orangery.

The venue requires very little and simple décor due to the grandeur of Northbrook Park. This is one of the main reasons why we picked the venue as the detail in decoration would be lost. Northbrook Park speaks volumes in its architecture and gardens providing a balanced and natural backdrop for photographs.”

“The pictures made us both cry when we first saw them.”

“Nick was fantastic, he captured our day in the natural way we were looking for, as we did not want many posed photographs. There were some beautiful shots which captured the emotion and told the story of our special day – the pictures made us both cry when we first saw them. Nick was very professional, friendly and managed to navigate his was through our crowd of guests un-noticed. Thank you so much for being part of our wedding, making us feel at ease and creating fabulous images for us to treasure”

“Nick gave us a real confidence from our earliest conversations and was happy to answer as many questions we could throw at him.”

Abi & Jack

We were so glad to have found Nick as our photographer. The photos would be the only record of our day so naturally, who to work with was was quite a big decision. Nick gave us a real confidence from our earliest conversations and was happy to answer as many questions we could throw at him. He took the time to learn about us and when the day arrived, we knew that we could let him look after everything, from arranging the various groups for the formal photos to picking out the moments that we could never have planned, but would want to remember. I recall seeing Nick late in the evening, still snapping away hours after he could have left!

Looking back, one of the things that strikes us is how much we missed because of how busy we were. When Nick showed us our gallery a few weeks later it was like attending our own wedding, but as guests. Sure, the beautiful shots of us are the ones that hang on our walls, but we’re so grateful to have a record of the expressions, the emotions and the essence of the day that Nick captured so well. We couldn’t have asked for more.

The best piece of advice we could offer to others planning their wedding would be to research and choose your suppliers carefully. We benefitted from a photographer, a wedding planner, a florist, a caterer and a venue who all actively contributed to making our day exactly as we had imagined it.
