This was a last minute booking for Julia and Stuart's Christmas wedding at the Crown Inn at Chiddingfold. I'm so glad I was available at short notice for this wonderful relaxed winter wedding.
Here is the day in their own words:
"We always dreamed of a Christmas wedding, and whilst we hoped for a dusting of snow the night before and a bright clear morning to follow, we planned for pouring rain and cold! The Crown Inn was a perfect venue choice - a real winter warmer overlooking the church - roaring fires, historic oak beams, lead light windows and twinkling fairy lights inside and out. Christmas trees, faux fur, red roses, crystal and silver candelabras were the only finishing touches required to make this our dream setting.
The service at St Mary's was a festive treat - we substituted hymns for Christmas carols. The “12 Days Of Christmas” was a fast paced affair, but the highlight had to be leaving the church to “Jingle Bells” with all the guests shaking 70 sets of jingle bells raising the roof of the village church! The evening reception saw The Crown in all its glory - roast ribs of beef accompanied by red wine decanted into crystal on every table. Presents for the children were hidden under the trees and after dinner the dancing went on until dawn. We could not have wished for a better day and the fantastic photographs means our wedding day never feels very far away."
It was lovely to receive this note from Julia after the wedding:
"Oh my goodness Nick - they are amazing!! (I'm trying to resist typing that in great big shouty capitals!!). We are blown away - so many of our nearest and dearest friends and family in all their glory and the complete capture of everything our wedding was about. You are amazing - it honestly feels like you must have known us as friends before to capture the people and things that you did. Once again Nick - just wow! You are the best investment we made for our wedding day as what you have given us will partner our memories for the rest of our lives. Just beautiful. Thank you. x"
