Salthouse on the North Norfolk coast is a long way from anywhere, well certainly a long way from London, and that's no bad thing! It's in the middle of an area of outstanding natural beauty where Poppy spent many childhood holidays and where she returned for her wedding on a perfect cloudless summers day.
Poppy's family were so welcoming, and I was given a tour on arrival to get my bearings - it seemed that half the village had lent out their houses, and tipis had been set up in one of the gardens overlooking the beach and out across the North Sea. The wedding service was a short walk from the tipis at the magnificent and historic St. Nicholas Church. Poppy's stunning wedding dress is by Louise Selby
The tipis were amazing and looked fantastic. The inside was decked with bunting and fairy lights and there was such a cosy feeling and even a real open fireplace! Provided by the aptly named 'Stunning Tent Company' check them out here: Wedding Tipis
The day continued with reception drinks and nibbles and a wedding breakfast of roast pork - carved by designated guests at the tables.
I really enjoyed this wedding, everyone was happy and relaxed, thank you so much for having me along!
This is what Poppy and Martin said:
"We had such a great wedding. Thank you so much for coming all that way, slotting in so easily and dealing with all the fairly drunken chaos! We just got back to our flat to find a surprise package of pictures waiting for us. Thank you so much - we've been through and are really pleased with what you've put together... Thanks again for all your hard work; we're so happy with the results."
